French Antique dining and refectory tables Melbourne


French side, writing, farmhouse, refectory, dining tables for sale and bespoke made to order, in Melbourne Australia. We stock antique French tables and most of these are French farmhouse and refectory tables that carry the marks of generations of use. We deliberately leave most of these tables in as-found condition, so as to allow the buyer a say in how they'd like the table restored. We restore tables and make repairs using similar, old timbers and respect the character that age and wear has given them. We do sometimes need to raise table legs to a modern ergonomic height, which we carry out sympathetically.

We have possibly the largest stock of antique dining tables in Melbourne, comprising the French Louis XIV, Louis XV, Louis XVI, Directoire and Empire styles, as well as a large assortment of rush-seat French provincial chairs and benches. Our workshop is able to carry out any conservation work, and also oversee and help with any required fabrics, upholstery, caning and rushing work.
