An early 20th century French child's toy in the shape of a painted timber horse attached to a wrought iron sulky. A child can sit in the bucket-seat and activate the pedals placed on the horse's on the hind legs, which activate the back-axle and the rear wheels. Ehen holding the reins, a child can turn the front wheel in the desired direction, as well as move the horse's head from side to side. Area of Rouen, Normandy, circa 1930.
