A fine pair of French Louis XV Candlesticks

A large and fine pair of French Louis XV style, cast and chased silver plated candlesticks, the four candle-holders on foliate-motif branches emanating from twist-turned baluster stems and plinths. Please note the excellent, jewellery-like quality of the casting and fine chasing, and of the good silver patination. Of very good weight. Area of Paris, circa 1950.

Condition report: In good, used condition, the silver nicely worn and showing a dark patina of oxidation in the recesses. We would recommend polishing with Silvo, but leaving some of the patina.
