A large sized 19th century French Gothic Revival, twelve lights gilt brass chandelier, composed of of a shaped circular body decorated with finely cast, chased, fretted and gilt brass scrollwork, with external 'torchere' lights and hanging from the original, decorative brass chains and crown shaped ceiling cup. Attributed to Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin (1812-1852). Please note the jewellery like quality of the metal work. Area of London, circa 1850.
