An 18th century French Louis XVI period bronze and cut crystal 'Cage' chandelier of six lights, of a suitable size for a drawing or dining room, densely decorated with large sized, shaped and water wheel-cut crystal drops, with 'Rosette' crystals and with 'Poignards' (turret-shaped finials). The chandelier bronze structure shows its early construction techniques, retaining an excellent metal patination and its original plinth-ball. Area of Paris, circa 1780.
Please note: this chandelier is currently fitted with ugly LED light bulbs (for use in our shop display), but it will be fitted with clear halogen light bulbs on delivery.
