A large French Empire Chandelier

A fine and large, early 20th century French Empire style gilt brass and patinated metal eight light chandelier, retaining its original shaped chains and its crown-shaped finial. Each of the arms is in the shape of a stylised lotus flower and decorated with typical raised floral and 'Palmette' motifs of the Parisian Empire style. The chandelier retains the central, gilt brass 'burning flame'. Area of Paris, circa 1930.

Condition report: Complete and in excellent condition. Freshly rewired to Australian safety standards using gold silk electrical cords.
