An 18th century French Louis XVI period bronze and cut crystal 'baluster' chandelier of six lights, of a suitable size for a drawing or dining room, this Classically proportioned 'baluster' chandelier is densely decorated with large, shaped and water wheel-cut crystal drops, with 'Rosette' crystals and with large 'Poignards' (turret-shaped finials). The chandelier bronze structure has an excellent patination, retaining its original and large plinth-ball. Please note the high quality of the central baluster. Area of Paris, circa 1780.
