A 19th century French Gothic style faceted lantern, decorated with finely wrought, fretted and riveted iron flowers, 'corkscrew' motifs, scrolls and with curved leadlight glass panels. The pediment is decorated with large pressed tin foliate scrolls. Originally fitted as a gas light, later electrified. Area of Rouen, Normandy, circa 1880.
