A 19th century French Arts and Crafts period, solid oak table in the Neo Gothic style, the massive oak top fitted with 'bread ends', above four sturdy square-section Refectory style legs, joined by a central stretcher rail. This table has a wonderful personality and proportions, and retains a good, dry oak patina. Please note the wonderful construction technique, with pegged joints. There is plenty of leg-room under this table top. Area of Normandy, circa 1880.
