A rare, 17th century French Louis XIV period walnut and studded leather chair, the original leather well-worn and still sturdy, the back rest's leather completely embossed with raised decorative patterns. Note the wonderful size of the hand made bronze studs. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1680.

Condition report: In good and original condition throughout, showing wear in keeping with its age. The leather is in usable condition. A few studs are missing from the edges. This armchair can be used in its present condition, or our workshop can carry out conservation work on it.
Dimensions: Width 56 cm, depth 44 cm, height of back rest 97 cm.
