A set of six French Provincial, Louis XV style, carved solid oak ladderback chairs, each chair fitted with a drop-in woven rush seat, the top rails and the front rails decorated with haut relief carved seashell and foliate motifs, standing on elegant Cabriole legs. These dining chairs are lightweight, comfortable, and sturdy everyday-use chairs. Area of Southern France, circa 1930.
