A fine Louis XVI Buffet

A French Louis XVI style, mahogany 'Buffet d’Enfilade' sideboard of fine neoclassical elegance, fitted with four drawers above four doors, the gilt brass mouldings, pull-knobs and mounts beautifully offset against the faded mahogany timbers. Retaining its original, shaped and moulded Carrara marble top. Internally fitted with the original adjustable-height shelves, and retaining its original locks and keys. Please note the fine workmanship of this buffet, typical of a cabinetmaking workshop of the Parisian 'Faubourg Saint Antoine'. Area of Paris, circa 1940.
