A French Louis XVI style two-door bookcase of good, shallow proportions, the restrained, masculine façade decorated with flat pilasters and diamond paterae. Fitted with clear glass side panels and front door panels and internally fitted with the original, adjustable-height shelves. Retaining the original escutcheons, lock and key. Please note the fine workmanship typical of a cabinetmaking workshop of the Parisian 'Faubourg Saint Antoine'. Area of Paris, circa 1960.
