A mid 20th century two-part bookcase attributed to André Arbus (1903-1969), a French furniture designer, sculptor and architect. The formal and clean architectural lines are typical of Arbus' work, as are the use of fine European sycamore maple timbers and gilt brass mouldings and elements. Area of Paris, circa 1950.

Condition report: In excellent and original condition throughout, retaining all original keys and hardware.
