A pair of Louis XVI Fauteuil Armchairs

A pair of elegant and comfortable, finely carved and gilt, French Napoleon III period Louis XVI style 'Fauteuil' armchairs. The armchair frames decorated with haut-relief carved and gilded Neoclassical motifs such as ‘ribbon’ pattern mouldings, acanthus leaves and paterae. The backrests decorated with carved acanthus motif finials. Area of Paris, circa 1860.

Condition report: In very good and original, unrestored condition. Please feel free to ask our workshop for a quote on re-covering these armchairs.
