Two pairs of fine, early 20th century French Louis XVI style carved, painted and parcel gilt Fauteuil armchairs of understated elegance. Retaining their original and nicely worn ivory colour milk paint finish. Two armchairs are covered in burgundy brocade, two armchairs in amber brocade. Note the restrained Classical proportions and the masculine character of these comfortable armchairs. Paris, circa 1930.
