A pair of French Louis XVI style 'fauteuil' armchairs decorated with Neoclassical elements including tapering and fluted legs, paterae and a moulded-edge rectangular backrests. Please note the perfect classical proportions and the masculine character of the design of this armchair. Retaining an old limed painted finish. Area Paris, circa 1950.
