A Classic French Entrance Door

A 19th century French solid pine entrance door of classic design and with a good width, a pair of windows opening behind the two cast iron grilles. The door is traditionally jointed and moulded, the grilles are decorated with thistles and with stylised foliate scrolls. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1890.

Condition report: Complete and in as found, unrestored condition. The gap in the timbers, at centre-right, is where the original lock was taken from. Our workshop is able to repair this gap.
