A Parisian quality, Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style carved solid walnut 'Bergere' wingback armchair of wonderful Neoclassical design, fitted with a separate down feather seat cushion for extra comfort. Please note the very fine quality of the frame’s hand-carved Neoclassical patterns and mouldings, and also the wonderful fabric it was found upholstered with: a cream-colored base with a white grid and tufted burgundy and raspberry pink "poms" at the intersections. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition. The fabric and upholstery are in excellent condition.
