A 19th century Italian Zuppiera, a blue on white glazed majolica soup tureen of Classical 'Medicis' shape, decorated with stylised flower and foliate motifs. Please note: a soup tureen like this one is often used as a 'vide-poches', somewhere to put coins and keys into, near the front door. Typical design of the Deruta potteries. Area of Perugia, Italy, circa 1900.

Condition report: In as found condition, showing some wear in keeping with its age and use.
