A 19th century French Soupière faience soup tureen with colourful glazes, decorated with stylised flower and foliate motifs, the urn-shaped tureen with two 'Cartouche' carrying handles. The underside is stamped with the hallmark of 'Luneville'. Please note: in France, a soup tureen like this one is often used as a 'vide-poches', somewhere to put coins and keys into, near the front door. Area of Luneville, North East France, circa 1900.
