A French absinthe glass with its typically thick and heavy glass the bowl, standing on a simple stem and broad plinth. Decorated with a spiralling gadrooned pattern and showing the trapped air bubbles and wobbles that come from their hand-blown construction. The underside showing the glassmaker's pincer mark. Area of Pays de Caux, Normandy, circa 1860.
