A 19th century French provincial, Louis XVI style, solid oak dining table of exceptionally long and wide proportions, a comfortable 10 to 12-seater. Of simple proportions and standing on graceful, square-section tapering legs, the top is made from wide and thick oak planks and fitted with solid oak bread-ends. The long table rails are narrow, allowing for good leg-room under the table. Please note the wonderful, well-burnished and luminous character of the table top timbers. Area of the Loire Valley, circa 1880.
