A 17th century French Louis XIV period oak side table, the moulded top with 'bread ends' above shaped rails, standing on four baluster-turned legs joined by a turned 'H' stretcher. A drawer retaining its lock and escutcheon opens in the front rail. Please note the excellent, original patina. The undersides showing the early construction techniques, with bow saw and adze cut marks. Area of Normandy, circa 1680.
