A 19th century French Louis XVI style tulipwood and walnut parquetry inlaid side cabinet, the top with its original Carrara marble insert and a raised and fretted gilt brass gallery, above a front fitted with a shallow drawer and a cabinet door decorated with embossed leather book spines. Used originally as a Salon table, this cabinet can also be used as a wonderful bedside table. Area of Paris, circa 1880.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition, showing slight surface wear in keeping with its age. Requiring timber, leather and gilt brass surfaces cleaned and polished.
