A Normandy Farmhouse Table

A 19th century French provincial solid oak farmhouse table, the well-burnished top with a rich oak colour above chamfered square-section legs joined by an ‘H’ stretcher. Shallow drawers opens at either end of the table. Please note: this table is fitted with (later) extension leaves that sit sturdily on pull-out prongs. When closed, this table sits 8, with one extension 10 and with both extensions 12 people. Area of Lower Normandy, circa 1880.
