A fine and elegant, mid 19th century French Napoleon III period, oval top, walnut and ebonised walnut extending dining table standing on a Classical plinth of four scroll-shaped feet, carved with paterae and foliate motifs. The timbers retaining their original, nicely-faded walnut patina. Retaining the original caster wheels. Area of Paris, circa 1870. This table has an extension mechanism allowing for several extension leaves to be fitted. Drop-down turned legs ensure the stability of the table, when extended.
Our workshop can quote to make leaves if requested. We will be able to bring them in close to the colour and finish of the table top.
