A carved French Horse

A vintage French statuette of a horse, carved from a single block of timber, including the plinth. Please note the wonderful personality of the horse, and the chisel marks left on the surfaces by the carver. Signed on the plinth "P. Verdeau". Area of Normandy, circa 1950.

Condition report: Complete and in good, unrestored condition.
