A large, early 20th century French Art Nouveau period majolica ‘cache-pot’ jardiniere planter vase decorated with patterns in haut relief, including elephants standing in foliage and fighting with a boa constrictor snake, the colours and patterns of the glaze are typical of the barbotine De Bruyn majolica. The underside with the potter's stamp and model number. Area of Fives Lille, Northern France, circa 1900.

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing very slight wear in keeping with its age.
