A French Bell Lantern

A French bell-shaped, clear blown-glass 'cloche', a miniature glass-house which was traditionally used in agriculture to protect delicate plants (such as lettuces and strawberries) from frost. Our workshop makes lanterns from these French glass bells, which are fully electrified to Australian safety standards using black, bronze, silver or pale gold-coloured silk electrical cords. The lanterns are fitted with a brass chain and with a ceiling cup to the tonality and to the length required. In this case, the chain and ceiling cup are chrome-coloured.
