A pair of French Louis XVI Chairs

A fine pair of 19th century French Louis XVI style chairs, the parcel gilt walnut frames decorated with hand-carved 'lambs' tongue' mouldings, the crests decorated with haut-relief carved crossed 'quiver and torch' allegories and with acanthus leaf and knotted-ribbon motifs. Standing on tapering and fluted legs. Please note the excellent walnut patination. Area of Paris, circa 1880.

Photos taken indoors, and photos taken in outdoor lighting conditions show different tones of fabric, although the fabric is identical.

Condition report: Complete and in good, unrestored condition. The fabric has just been steam cleaned.
