An Aristide Maillol Lithograph from his limited series 'Dialogues des Courtisanes', depicting a reclining nude reminiscent of the sculpture 'Montagne', which is on display at the Jardin des Tuileries, in Paris. The monogram at the bottom-left is that of Aristide Maillol (Aristide Joseph Bonaventure Maillol, 1861-1944), an internationally renowned French sculptor, painter, and printmaker. Maillol worked with, and was influenced by, Paul Gauguin and the 'Nabis' group at Pont-Aven. He also worked closely with his artist friends Pierre Bonnard, Henri Matisse, Auguste Rodin and Maurice Denis. Area of Paris, circa 1935.
Please note: A Parisian museum, the 'Musée Maillol' in Paris' 7th arrondissement is dedicated to Maillol's lifetime works. This lithograph retains its original mount and frame.
