A pair of mid 20th century French gilt tole-work five light Maison Jansen design 'Wheat' chandeliers, decorated (in an allegory for Prosperity) as bouquets of wheat stalks and foliage. The original concept of "wheat" design in furniture was created by Salvador Dali, for Coco Chanel's Parisian apartment. Each retaining their original chains and ceiling cups. Area of Paris, circa 1950.

Please note: this item is due in Melbourne in mid 2026.

Condition report: Complete and in excellent condition. Requiring to be cleaned and rewired to Australian safety standards using gold silk electrical cords.
Dimensions: Diameter 43 cm, height 45 cm plus chain and ceiling cup.
