A 19th century French carpenter's workbench made from solid beechwood planks which have been worn by many generations of use. Standing on four massive legs supporting a shelf. Retaining its original wrought iron and timber vice and its original tool drawer. The vice bearing the original Parisian maker. This workbench can be used as an informal hall table, cellar table, or a console. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
