A French Louis XVI period Triptych

A set of three, large 18th century French Louis XVI period oil on canvas Neoclassical 'Boiserie' panels, each panel decorated with central medallions, the large one depicting 'Amour and Psyche', the other two depicting cherubs at play. Each central medallion is surrounded by finely painted trellises of flowers, Medici urns and foliate scrollwork on an ivory coloured background. Area of Paris, circa 1780.

Condition report: In excellent and original, unrestored condition. The original 18th century canvases have been re-lined and are mounted on stretchers - hence the canvases showing the edges with signs of nails and studs. . We would recommend mounting each panel on a new stretcher.
Dimensions: Larger panel 212 x 140 cm, smaller panels each 212 x 65 cm. These are dimensions of the panels when they will be re-mounted on new canvas stretchers. Please enquire regarding mounting these on to new stretchers.
