An 18th century French coopered oak and steel-banded 'pichet' measuring jug, used for serving wine and cider, retaining ts original carved timber stopper. This is fine coopering work from wine barrel-makers. Area of Normandy, circa 1780.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition.
Dimensions: Height 34 cm, diameter at belly 22 cm.
