A set of eight 19th century Anglo-French blue and white ironstone 'terre de Fer' dinner plates, decorated in the Neoclassical style, with garlands of stylised flowers, paterae and Classical urns. These plates were made by 'Conyer Bisto' in England, for the French market. The rear of the plates is stamped by Conyer and also with the trademark of the 19th century Parisian luxury store "Emile Bourgeois", with its original address in rue Drouot, Paris. This set comprises 8 dinner plates, 8 soup bowls, a serving platter, a salad bowl and a sauce boat. Area of England and France, circa 1880.
