A 19th century French glazed 'Barbotine' Majolica asparagus drainer incorporated with its platter, wonderfully decorated with haut-relief and asparagus on a background of stylised foliate motifs. Please note the excellent colours of the glazes. Area of Onnaing and Nimy-les-Mons, Northern France, circa 1870.
