A 19th century French Louis XV style blown glass wine decanter, the pewter pouring top with a hinged lid incorporating a handle decorated with stylised foliate and Rocaille motifs, above a ribbed baluster body standing on broad glass plinth. The internal ribbing of the glass serves to aerate the wine as it's being poured into the decanter. Area of Greater Paris (Isle de France), circa 1880.

Condition report: In good and original condition. No chips or cracks.
