A fine French Louis XVI Cushion Mirror

A mid 19th century, French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style gilt pastille-work 'Cushion' mirror of rectangular proportions, the frame is decorated with fine egg-and dart and with acanthus leaf pattern mouldings, the corners with floral and foliate motifs, the mirror frame mirror surmounted by an outsized knotted ribbon pediment. Retaining all the original mirror plates and the original gilt finish, nicely softened by age. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
