A fine 19th century Napoleon III period, Louis XV style gilt mantle mirror retaining the original mirror plate. The elegantly shaped frame decorated with a twisting scrollwork and foliate motifs, the shaped pediment surmounted by a large foliate motif crest interspersed with flowers. The gilding retains the original and soft patination throughout. Area of Paris, circa 1860.
