A 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style carved and gilt wood 'Cushion' mirror of fine quality and proportions. The frame is decorated with 'egg-and-dart' and 'ovuli' motifs, the out-sized pediment is carved with the Louis XVI 'quiver and torch' motif and with stylised foliate scrollwork. Retaining the original gilt finish, and the original mirror plates including the central, bevelled one. Area of Isle de France, (Greater Paris), circa 1870.
