A French Napoleon III period, Regence style gilt pastille-work ‘Margin’ mirror of excellent quality and proportions, decorated with a shaped pediment and with fine 'egg-and-dart' mouldings. The wonderful, outsized crest is decorated with a large seashell motif, surrounded by trellises of flowers and foliate scrolls. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
