An elegant and large, vintage Parisian Louis XVI style, gilt brass and cut crystal ‘Corbeille’ (basket) chandelier, fitted with twelve external lights, each light fitted with a tall cut-crystal drip-tray. This chandelier is internally lit by six more lights, and externally is decorated with densely-arranged chains of crystal beads hanging from a 'crown' pediment, and with several tiers of 'pencil' cut crystals. Please note the fine quality of the gilt brass work. Area of Paris, circa 1970.
