A French Louis XIV Desk

A 19th century French Louis XIV style, haut-relief carved solid oak 'double-face' bureau (partners' desk), fitted with five drawers. Standing on carved, twist-turned legs joined by a turned 'H' stretcher, each of the drawers carved with foliate scrolls and retaining its brass handle. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
