A French Regence style solid oak Refectory table comfortably seating eight, the top with an exceptional thickness of 7 cm, standing on two shaped X-shaped uprights joined by a central stretcher, which is secured with pegged ends. The whole table can be disassembled for ease of transport and storage. This table has a unique character, the timbers being salvaged from much older, architectural elements. Retaining the original patination and with a very well-burnished top, from its long use. Area of Normandy, circa 1900.
