An early 19th century Parisian, Charles X/ Louis Philippe period, book-matched flame mahogany and gilt brass mounted chest of drawers fitted with its original "Gris Saint Anne" dark grey marble top. Please note the fifth, hidden drawer in the plinth. Of wonderfully masculine and simple Neoclassical design, this period in furniture is inspired by the earlier, French Napoleonic Empire style.
