A vintage design, Louis XVI style extending dining table, the oval-shaped and moulded-edge top decorated with cross-banded rosewood timbers, the rails fitted with gilt brass 'string of pearls' mouldings, standing on tapering and fluted legs. Made with fine workmanship, typical of the fine cabinetmaking workshops of the Parisian 'Faubourg Saint Antoine' district. Area of Paris, circa 1950.
