An early 19th century French Provincial Directoire style solid beechwood 'buffet' sideboard fitted with three shallow drawers above two cupboard doors, the timbers nicely burnished and faded by time. Typically of this French region, this piece is designed with simple and Spartan decorations and proportions. Region of Picardie, Northern France, circa 1830.
