An early 20th century French Louis XVI style, mahogany demi-lune commode, of excellent Neoclassical proportions and of shallow depth. The façade is fitted with three drawers, the flanks are serpentine-curved and panelled. Retaining the original shaped marble top framed by a raised and fretted gilt brass gallery. Retaining the original brass drawer pulls. Please note: because of its shallow depth, this commode can make an excellent entrance hall /console table. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
